Thundercracked transformers

2011-08-01 This summer's thunder has done it's hard work to transformers around the North...
Today our rental dry-insulated transformer LTX 3,5 MVA was plugged in at Drangedal, Norway. This equipment is just temporarly lent out while the client, a Norwegian power company, is getting their regular equipment repaired.

When the transformator is done with it's work in Norway, it's going to be shipped over to ABB Machines, Västerås, Sweden, where it will be needed for testing of machines.

Midsummer efforts in the north

2011-07-01 It might by vacation times, all around Scandinavia the industries are running despite of that...

At lunch time on Midsummer's Eve one of Myrén & Co's Norwegian clients called in with an acute inquiry: an ABB Process Performance motor M3B3 400LC, 400V, 500 kW, 1000 rpm was urgently needed for a steel mill in the north west of Norway.

Myrén & Co had a brand-new motor with the exact same data in stock at the GOthenburg warehouse, and could therefor dispatch the motor the same day. Despite the Midsummer weekend, the motor arrived at the end users location in the morning after, and the steel mill was by lunch time up and running.

Thanks to a well equipped storage Myrén & Co can rapidly help customers with acute cases, regardless holidays and vacation time...
